Chase & Status have been known as party pioneers for the last decade, both in the UK and worldwide. Starting off in warehouse raves in Manchester and ultimately selling out arena tours, Saul Milton (Chase) and Will Kennard (Status) have truly earned their crown as rightful drum and bass kings. After the success of their last album Brand New Machine, the pair took a much needed break from producing and live shows. Back to work and in the last year or so the d’n’b duo have collaborated with the likes of George the Poet, Novelist, and most recently, Blossoms. In honour of their team-up we got both Blossoms and Chase & Status to takeover to 10Trax playlist this week with their ultimate party starting anthems.

Blossoms

Chromatics – ‘Shadow’

Tom: “James Skelly sent me this song as he thought I’d like it, and I did. I’ve always been a big fan of the Drive soundtrack and they featured on that, this new song could easily have been on there too.”

Nightlands – ‘Lost Moon’

Chaz: “Track off the bass player from War On Drugs recent solo record. Loved it on first listen. It’s got elements of Beach Boys, BC Camplight, & Soft Hair all complimenting each other to form the perfect pop ballad.”

Drake – ‘Passionfruit’

Chaz: “The most consistent RnB star today delivers again. Such a top tune.”

Ryan Adams – ‘Shiver & Shake’

Chaz: “One of the standout tracks on his latest album for me. Instantly reminded me of the Boss’ I’m On Fire. I love its simplicity and think it’s a great love song.”

Pale Waves – ‘There’s A Honey’

Tom: “I heard this through BBC Introducing Manchester and thought it was such a great pop song. It sounds really youthful and I can see it becoming their anthem very quickly.”

Chase & Status

CASISDEAD – ‘The Grid’

“CAS is one of our favourite artists at the moment & this 80’s infused track shows even more depth to his character.”

Liam Gallagher – ‘Wall of Glass’

“The return of the icon… it delivers.”

 Kendrick Lamar – ‘HUMBLE.’

“Do we need to say anything here? King Kendrick.”

Redeyes – ‘What She Wants’ (Lenzman Remix)

“Classic, soulful, stripped-back liquid Drum & Bass from one of the best to do it.”

Chase and Status and Blossoms – ‘This Moment’

“Our new one ft Blossoms  – Something a bit different.”
