On the 4th of June, Mighty Hoopla will be heading to the capital for a fantastic day festival at Victoria Park. Performances announced include pop royalty – Sophie Ellis Bextor and Charlotte Church as well as ultimate 90s gems, All Saints. Keeping things a little more contemporary will be the likes of GIRLI, Raye and Alma who’ll be in good company alongside Notion 74 cover stars and queens of London’s drag scene, Sink The Pink.

In honour of Mighty Hoopla’s arrival in London this Summer we got Sink The Pink co-founder Glyn to make us an exclusive playlist of his ultimate festival anthems. Expect appearances from a few fellow Hoopla performers alongside some tunes so big even I can’t be snarky about them.

All Saints – ‘One Strike’

Glyn: “I was always and All Saints boy! They write such a great tune and ‘Pure Shores’ is up there in my top 3 fave of all time, the new album is ace though.”

Raye – ‘Shhh’

“RAYE is blowing my mind right now, I love this song and the crazy key changes! You think the song is going in one direction, then she totally fucks you up, EPIC song!”

Years & Years – ‘King’

“This song takes me back to when we performed with Years & Years in the Brixton O2 Academy. I LOVE Olly too, he is the dream pin up of the modern pop world.”

SNAP! – ‘Rhythm is a Dancer’

“I’m serious as cancer when I say Rhythm is a dancer”, THE BEST LINE EVER WRITTEN!”

Sophie Ellis-Bextor – ‘Murder on the Dancefloor’

“A great mate of mine and SO much fun! I got this lady to randomly perform this in a gay bar in Sheffield last weekend. The gays went wild.”

Moloko – ‘Sing it Back’

“This is THE song that defined my early clubbing years for SO long! Roisin is a GODDESS!”

Basement Jaxx – ‘Red Alert’

“Basement Jaxx’s ‘Red Alert’ is an iconic Sink The Pink track, the moment it’s on at the club our queens get feral.”

Cher – ‘Believe’

“We end with this song a LOT at Sink The Pink! BEST singalong song ever, you’d be surprised how many people know every word!”

George Michael – ‘Outside’

“THE VIDEO is ICONIC! THE MAN IS A GOD!! It’s also about shagging in a loo…helllllllo GENIUS!”

Little Mix – ‘Touch’

“NO LIE! I have danced to this every day at least three times since I first heard it. All hail the Mix, ALL hail MNEK who is a producer DON!”

Mighty Hoopla takes place in Victoria Park on June 4th, head to their official website for the full line-up and tickets.
