Norway is slowly but surely taking over the pop world. Having already birthed Royksopp back in the day, a new wave of Norweigan talent has started infiltrating our Spotify playlists and SoundCloud feeds. Leading the pack is Astrid S who caught our attention with her Party’s Over EP back in June this year. Having kickstarted her career on Norway’s version of Pop Idol when she was 16 she’s been slowly but surely building up her pop prowess and has built up an arsenal of typically well crafted Scandi-flavoured bangers. After some time away, during in which she got into a surfing accident in Australia (hence the black eye in photos below) she’s been back on the road on her biggest headline tour to date. We caught up with her in the 24 hours leading up to her biggest show to date in Oslo to see how the fledgeling pop star spends her days.
