Here is a brand who quite literally went above and beyond when it came to drawing inspiration for its SS18 collection, entitled ‘On Ira Tous Au Paradis’, loosely translating to ‘We’ll all go to heaven.’ Lovely. The brand’s SS18 offering aimed to probe the question of what paradise really means to its younger audience, retelling its response through a range of exclusive garments. Pieces in the collection include waterproof versions of classic reversibles, emblazoned with the word ‘waterproof’ just incase the material doesn’t speak for itself.

The collection seeks to revisit a more primitive time, focusing on origins of fabrics and the role of each garment itself as a form of protection. Similarly, SS18 plays host to a number of multi-functional accessories including a “one sleeve pouch” which can efficiently be worn either over your sleeve or across the body, featuring a somewhat superfluous amount of pockets. SS18 also incorporates a number of motifs including rain drop and lightning bolt graphics assertively printed onto the sides of track pants and coated macs. The collection also seeks to juxtapose elements of streetwear with more conventional apparel. Featuring a number of mismatched, half-hoodie, half-shirt hybrids, it encourages viewers to pursue a balance between classic and contemporary.
