Bringing together elements of soul, RnB and putting a poppy cherry on top, ‘Get Your Love’ gives real vibes of the warmer months. Kalyan himself describes the track as being ‘a song about getting really wasted with someone in the summer’, and with its highly visual lyrics, it’s easy to imagine.
Relatively new on the scene, Leo brings us his latest single following his much supported 4-track EP ‘Silver Linings’ as he stays on path towards becoming one of 2015’s most anticipated new artists. With acclaim from Radio 1Xtra having made it onto the Introducing Playlist, as well as hitting #1 on the global Spotify Viral chart, Kalyan’s appeal shows no signs of being limited to just the summer.
Here’s Leo Kalyan’s take on the Notion mood board
Summer: We spend our whole year looking forward to summer. Maybe it’s just the vitamin D, but there’s something magical about being in the sun. Either way, bring it on.
Surfers: I wish I was a better surfer. There’s so much skill to it, and the adrenaline rush is unlike any other. I love everything about surfing: the lifestyle, the culture and the dedication to an experience that often lasts only for a few moments. That’s true love for you.
Rollercoasters: Rollercoasters remind me of being a kid. I was both terrified and obsessed with them. The only downside is the long queue, but maybe that just helps to build up anticipation.
Ice lollies: You can’t go wrong with these now, can you?
David Hockney: I love all of his work, but his swimming pool paintings of LA are breathtaking. They’re so big and vivid and vibrant, you can almost step right into them.
