The dream team: Absolut (best known for making unreal vodka) and Resident Advisor (basically the bible of electronic music) – have come together for Alternate Cuts – a unique and brilliant event series which brings together an explosive combo of the most out-there venues and legendary DJs.
Alternate Cuts gets DJs playing unexpected, never heard before sets in some of the hottest club spaces across the UK. With a list of venues nationwide, nights are designed to encourage clubbers to experience music in a unique light. Wire Club in Leeds will host Marcel Dettmann playing a house set, Buyers Club in Liverpool host’s KiNK showing of his love of classic jungle. Whilst Manchester’s Soup Kitchen will be a night of techno innovation from Derrick May and The Pickle Factory in London will have Nicolas Lutz playing garage, breaks and dub.
The Alternate Cuts nights are in celebration of the launch of Absolut Facet – a limited edition bottle which plays a part of the #AbsolutNights campaign which aims to push the boundaries of nightlife. In light of this, Absolut and Resident Advisor have teamed up with tech creatives Black Box Echo to produce bespoke lighting installations inspired by the new Absolut Facet bottle.
