Drawing inspiration from Maison Margiela’s 1998 Spring RTW Collection, the fashion editorial ‘Coexistence’ focuses on the interaction between the human form and its setting. This conceptual shoots showcases a variety of hyper contemporary looks consisting of bold fabrics, oversized silhouettes and statement accessories. Throughout the shoot, the body is seen as acting as an agent to manipulate its environment. Photographer Alexander English plays with extending lines of buildings, creating architectural shapes with the body, displaying the inextricable connection between one’s influence on his or her setting.
