Be it at a club, a festival or a sweaty warehouse, extended DJ sets are a thing of beauty. Taking the audience on a magical journey through all manner of genres, from deep house to garage to disco and funk – playing a 6 hour plus set is by no means an easy task. As part of Notion 75 we’re celebrating the history of British club culture, something that Mark Knight is also vibing with in his latest tour and visual Odyssey. Put together by Knight and Toolbox, short film Odyssey discusses the art form of playing extended sets and the impact they have on dance music. Speaking to some of the world’s biggest and best names in the industry, Odyssey explores and celebrates the impact extended sets have on clubbers.
Launching in April, Mark Knight will be bringing his All Knight Long tour to some of the world’s most iconic venues. From Womb in Tokyo to Output in New York – and of course Basing House in London. Each night will feature an extended set of pure musical madness where the greatest dancefloor stories are bound to unfold.
