Mercury-prize winning indie experimenters Alt-J made their return over the weekend with a new track ‘3WW’. Taking their sound in a mellower direction than the band’s previous two albums, the track has echoes of Simon & Garfunkel, with lead singer Joe Newman’s vocals taking centre stage amid subtle guitar and hints of electronics.

The band teased their return last Friday with a trailer featuring new music and confirmed the release of a new album, entitled Relaxer alongside the release of ‘3WW’ last night. Alt-J’s new album will be released on June 9th this year. Listen to ‘3WW’ below.
