Live performances from Aphex Twin are quite a rarity. But now Aphex fans can rejoice as the musician, also known as Richard D. James is now set to headline next year’s Field Day Festival. The festival’s official Twitter page teased us by posting a cryptic video of a scratch card which revealed the producer’s logo and the festival date, 03-06-17.

Flyers had been emerging across London with the news of Twin’s headlining next year’s festival and the Field Day website has now been taken over by the musician’s logo. The producer will headline the Field Day’s new state of the art indoor main stage arena. The festival has also announced it will take place on only one day, consolidating its usual Saturday and Sunday line-up into one comprehensive one-day line-up.
Releasing his new EP entitled ‘Cheetah’ earlier this year, Aphex Twins will be performing across the pond at his first U.S show in 8 years at Houston’s Day For Night Festival on December 17th.
