Aston Merrygold looks back at 2016, from releasing new music to performing with Kygo

From hitting up Australia to working with the likes of Kygo – Aston Merrygold’s flying high

Since the split of one of the biggest boy bands of the last decade – JLS – we’ve been enjoying Aston’s return. At 28, Aston Merrygold has matured into a cool and collected artist with the same incredible talent for singing and dancing we witnessed the first time he appeared on The X Factor. For Aston, 2016 has kicked off – performing on The X Factor Australia, countless TV appearances, and of course, the release of his brand new track ‘I Ain’t Missing You’ to name just a few major events.

We’ve been enjoying his latest hit – a fresh blend of electro and dance as well as some killer vocals. The video incorporates Aston’s love for contemporary dance, showcasing some tasty moves from the man himself. The release of new song ‘Too Late’ is just on the horizon, and we are buzzing for it to drop December 2nd.

Not only has Aston been making a splash in the music world, but the singer has also been travelling around the globe, performing in Australia before hitting up the US and performing alongside Kygo at Wireless festival earlier this summer. In an exclusive photo diary, Aston gives us an insight into exactly what’s been going down during this roller coaster few months.
