Every Friday this month, Peckham based radio station Balamii are hosting a very special live jazz session at Beckenham Place. A showcase of some of the best jazz talent around, the Summer Jazz Series looks like the perfect way to unwind after a long, hot week, bringing musicians from London and beyond to the grounds of Beckenham Place, which is now managed by the same team behind Bussey Building and Copeland Park Arts Centre.

Last Friday, the sessions played host to Norweigan-Brazilian singer Charlotte Dos Santos, London’s Project Karnak and Sunken, who provided plenty of laid-back and blissed out vibes as the sun set over the Georgian mansion. This week the sessions Vels Trio and 3peace take to Beckenham, with Cykada and Brothers Testament playing on August 17th and Armed Kwalu (Wu Lu and Joe Armon Jones) and Freddie Freeloader closing the sessions on August 24th. Check out some of the highlights of the last session below and find out more about the upcoming shows here.
