The relationship between music and fashion is inextricable, aided of course in recent years by the acceleration in brand sponsorship and the advertising power artists that wield. Converse literally goes all-star with their casting (couldn’t resist, soz) for Forever Chuck filming exploring celebrating the essence of youth,
To celebrate 100 years of Chuck Taylor, Converse teamed up with director Karim Huu Do (who has shot with Adidas and Last Night in Paris) for the film. The 121-second clip features the next generation of Hollywood elite and music stars including Olly Alexander of Years and Years, Stranger Things Millie Bobby Brown and model of the moment Winnie Harlow.
The film examines the idea of youth and questions its participants what it is that drives them to keep creating and the answers vary from “I want to be rich”, through to “I want to feel uncomfortable” to “We want to give you more questions”, demonstrating the idea that those who wear Converse are diverse and many. What do you think of the film?
