Darius Syrossian is a man of his word. The founder of Do Not Sleep, a record label, weekly club Ibiza club night and pool party at the Ibiza Rocks Hotel, he’s been grafting for over a decade, working his way from record store employee to world renown DJ and label boss. It’s the kind of career house music nerds dream of. Two years in and Do Not Sleep is already causing a stir on the White Isle, attracting a diverse crowd of house and techno fans and coming through with a packed roster every year. As the weather heats up at home and the holidays begin we dot Darius to get us properly in the swing of things with a very special Do Not Sleep playlist.

Lo Shea – ‘Duruga’

“Absolutely brilliant stuff from Lo Shea yet again, always play this on vinyl when it’s a proper underground clued-up crowd!”

Daniel Stefanik – ‘Deep Inside’

“Brilliant stuff on Matthias Tanzmann’s label, proper no messing stuff for the dance floor!!”

Moonbootica  – ‘On The Corner (Format B remix)’

“Straight up one of those tracks that will get you locked in the groove on the dance floor, not trying to be anything more than it is, just a dope track that makes you want to move.”

Psycho Radio Vs L C Anderson – ‘Bad Reputation (Daniele Baldeli & Marco Dionigi remix)’

“It’s not always about the about the bangers! Sometimes you want to change gear and play something more downtempo and emotive. I love switching gears when the time is right and this is good for when you want to take the crowd on a journey.”

Paul Woolford – ‘Meditate’

“Another emotive one from legend Paul Woolford, too many tech house artists getting praise when they churn out obvious Beatport music, but Paul has been one of those artists that has always kept his integrity and made REAL music. This is a belter.”

Bodyjack – ‘Hydra Effect’

“When you wanna go slamming hard but still wanna keep the groove and some soul! I have this on vinyl and play it often when the crowd is one that knows their stuff.”

Ashworth – ‘Speedo’

“Sounds like something Groove Armada would knock out. Really emotive, yet perfect for peak time and main room, on Cats & Dogs’ label.”

Nasser Baker – ‘Bingo’

“On Dennis Ferrer’s label, does the damage on the dancefloor everytime.”

Jaden Thompson – ‘Some of This’

“On Martinez Bros’ label, young lad who has a very bright future, proper house and not the same churned out formula of mindless, souless tech house that is everywhere at the moment.”

Ron Costa – ‘Hourncase’

“Straight up slammer, the break is deadly! when you doing those long sets and it’s 5am this works perfectly!”
