Following the release of Emeli Sande’s new EP Kingdom, the London singer has teamed up with road rap king Giggs for her new music video, ‘Higher’. Taken off the six-track project, which also features vocals from Dave East and Wretch 32; the video for ‘Higher’ is a simple affair with Emeli Sande standing in profile to perform her lyrics, Giggs occasionally stepping into the frame. Differing from his assertive rap ego, Giggs’ delivers his smooth ‘spoken word’ lyrics over a soft R&B hook.

In a statement, Sande told the Fader about the joys of working on the project, “It was such a pleasure to get to know Giggs better and to work with two directors I admire so much creatively, Myles Whittingham & Christopher Cargill. I feel like this video really reflects what inspired the song perfectly.” Watch the video below.
