From featuring on Clean Bandit’s ‘Rather Be’ and Route 94’s ‘My Love’ which both reached number 1, Jess has since gone on to release her debut single ‘Right Here’, which charted at no.1 on the UK Dance charts and subsequently ‘Hold My Hand’ which held on to the top spot of the singles charts for three weeks. It’s fair to say that Jess Glynne seems to have the Midas Touch.
We love her new track ‘Dont Be So Hard on Yourself’ which is another winner. A catchy chorus teamed with her powerful voice; it’s a lovely summer track to keep you in high spirits.
She will be embarking on her first ever American tour throughout September of this year! However you can still catch her performing at an array of summer shows such as V Festival on August 22/23 as well as her UK tour from October 31. We caught up with Jess to find out what her five stand out moments have been in her career so far.
Here is Jess Glynne’s very personal take on our Notion Mood Board
JESS: My first trip to LA working with Switch was amazing cause I hadn’t ever been to LA before and I was a big fan of his work so it was pretty special.
The ‘Don’t Be So Hard On Yourself’ video was so incredible to be a part of. The song means a lot to me, so bringing it to life with a story that felt so close to home was fantastic.
Playing at a sold out show at the The Electric in London was a moment I will never forget!
People singing my songs back to me, and the whole experience on my first ever headline tour was just insane.
Making my first ever video with my best mate for ‘Home’ in LA. Me, Jolene and Margherita created this video by running around renting cars, cameras, buying outfits and doing my makeup on top of a hill! Jo was filming this with nothing but a steady hand, while Margherita was driving! Crazy and amazing.
My song ‘Hold My Hand’ going to number 1 was just so mad! Having two #1 singles with other people was insane, but when it happened for me on my own it was the most emotional, exciting and proud feeling I had felt so far!
