Kojey Radical returns with new single AFTER WINTER

Kojey Radical stopped by Beats1 to debut his new single, the atmospheric AFTER WINTER.

Last time we heard from Kojey Radical, he was stunting all over Blue Lab Beat’s latest single ‘Sam Cooke and Marvin Gaye’. Now, at long last, he’s back with his new single ‘AFTER WINTER.’ A stripped back track, Kojey’s trademark mix of rap and spoken word takes centre stage, blending braggadocio and racial commentary as dystopian guitars and muffled drums crash in the background.

Kojey took to Julie Adeuga’s Beats 1 Radio show last nigh to premiere the track, and as usual, he doesn’t pull his punches. His targets on ‘AFTER WINTER’ run the gamut from ‘the destruction of my people’ to music industry fuckery. For the most part, a snarling, bombastic track ‘AFTER WINTER” gives way to a spacious outro, with drawn out strings and sung vocals floating in as the track comes to it’s conclusion. Listen below.
