Much anticipation surrounded rising star Ryan Lo’s AW17 collection. To a packed out crowd – Hong Kong-born designer, Ryan Lo displayed some of the most colourful selection of looks the runways of LFW have ever seen.

With romantic fantasy and childhood nostalgia as his muse, the runway was awash with bright knits, colourful makeup and some dramatic OTT layering. Each look produced by Lo resembled a piece of art, with fabulous clashes of prints creating a dramatic and fun feel. Now, if you’re going to use Japanese pop culture in your collection – then who better than to pair up with than Hello Kitty. The world’s most famous cat made an appearance in the show with the Hello Kitty logo appearing on a number of pastel coloured garments.

Each model was made up with bright hair and the most dramatic of makeup. Sparkle and glitter were motifs used by the designer, who had each fabric drizzled with glitter which shimmered down the runway. Photographer Davide Cossu was there to capture the goings on behind the scenes, take a look at his highlights below.
