Since Lion Babe joined us for a shoot last year, they’ve since been super busy promoting their debut album Begin with tracks such as ‘Jump Hi’ and ‘Impossible’ making their mark in various charts and amassing over 30 million streams in the mere space of two years. They have worked with the likes of Pharrell Williams on ‘Wonder Woman’ and other producers including Andrew Wyatt and Childish Gambino. As well as touring every major festival and a performing a string of US shows, frontwoman Jillian Hervey with her fiery locks has been made Pantene’s latest ambassador and recently launched her own eyeliner line with MAC Cosmetics as part of their ‘Future Forward’ campaign.
As well as that (!), Lion Babe have recently released their Sun Joint mixtape; an 11-track collection of soulful vibes with features from Angel Haze, Raury and Junglepussy, all free to stream and download via SoundCloud.
Below they take us behind the scenes of their sets at both Reading and Leeds; from glitz and glitter to meeting idols backstage, take a look at what they got up to!

Getting my glam on with Bianca
The finished glam look. Golds, browns and glitter! I’m still finding glitter on all my things from that day but it’s worth it for the sparkles!

We had the pleasure of meeting Gary Powell from The Libertines backstage at the festival which was not only great because we have been fans since middle school but we also got to hear about his amazing project, Unity Rocks
