Yes, you may recognise this feel-good track from FIFA 2016 and also from the Rugby World Cup trailer for ITV last year. This track is so good! Full of unstoppable energy and it displays Tiggs Da Author’s individual, one-of-a-kind style in music. Tiggs said: “The song is about escaping your troubles and just getting away from certain situations and not letting life’s little dramas bring you down. Sometimes it’s better to just run!” Running away from all your responsibilities (not all of them) and life’s troubles and just letting go; it’s the perfect track for it.
Tiggs is influenced by a lot of East African jazz, Dizzee Rascal and Motown and it is evident in his music. ‘Run’ features Lady Leshurr and Tiggs has said that she is a great to collaborate with and she nailed her part of the song. Now Tiggs has given Notion a mood board of memories from some shows that he’s done this summer, including British Summertime with Florence And The Machine and his first European show in France. Take a glimpse into his busy life on the road.
Tiggs: Quick selfie with the mandem at Hyde Park by the Serpentine. Getting ready to play the Casa Bacardi stage at British Summer Time festival. I was super gassed to be playing on the same bill as Kendrick Lamar, Florence & The Machine and Jamie XX! What a line-up….
Played a show for a lovely Hyde Park crowd. The sun even came out for some of it! I hope they liked my dance moves, I have been practising them a lot recently. Haha. They seemed to enjoy it. It was a vibe!!
Here I am waiting for the ferry at Dover. Very tired after a sick BST show but still super excited to be heading to Arras in France for the Main Square Festival and my debut European show! Couldn’t wait to get out there. Spent a night in a hotel at Calais then drove down to Arras first thing…
Loving my Hercules Sandals here. In the van on the way down to Arras…
Wow, couldn’t believe the crowd that came out to see the Main Square show. This was a full band show and I love doing those. The crowd were amazing, singing the songs and waving their hands in the air! Was such a vibe and I was so happy my first French show went well. The band were sick too. Good work guys!
Here I am on the ferry back from Calais to Dover after a long weekend. Had such a sick time though and so happy that I have played to so many new people this weekend. Can’t wait to come back to France and play again, the audience were sick. I’m playing at lots more European festivals too so don’t have too long to wait.
