Today, trip-hop duo Massive Attack announced they’ll be playing at the Eden Sessions for two nights in a row. Performing in June on Friday 15th and Saturday 16th, to celebrate its 17-year run, the duo will be the first-ever to hold a back-to-back gig at the Eden Project. With more acts to be announced, so far, it’s been confirmed that the group will be joined by Mercury Prize-winners Young Fathers on both dates, while Björk will headline her own session on June 20th. This follows on from last summer, which saw Bastille, Madness Royal Blood, Blondie and more perform.
In a statementEden Sessions’ marketing director, Rita Broe, said “Massive Attack have had a huge influence on contemporary music and we think they will deliver two of the most memorable nights in Eden Sessions’ history.” She continues, “They are an amazing live act and our illuminated Biomes will provide an awe-inspiring backdrop to their set.”
