M.I.A has returned to music once more with new single ‘GOALS’, nine months after dropping her ‘final album’ AIM. The singer/rapper dedicated the video to her fans from over the past decade. In the video’s caption, she writes “DEDICATED TO MY HARDCORE FANS. THANK YOU FOR YOUR UNFALTERING DEDICATION AND SUPPORT. YOU HAVE GIVEN ME A SLIVER OF HOPE IN HUMANITY”.

The video is collated of GIFs of the singer’s fans at live shows, created by artist Jaime Martinez. The images will be exhibited as part of M.I.A’s Meltdown Festival performance this summer, which will be at London’s Southbank Centre. The festival will also be home to Crystal Castles, Mykki Blanco, Princess Nokia, Young Fathers, and more, starting tomorrow and running through to 18 June. Watch / listen to ‘GOALS’ below.

You can buy tickets and see the full line-up to M.I.A’s Meltdown here.
