Olly Alexander has always been refreshingly open and honest about his struggles with depression and anxiety in the past. Now, the Years & Years singer will be exploring the bigger picture of mental health problems within the gay community. Olly Alexander: Growing Up Gay will be part of the upcoming BBC3 series Gay Britannia which will be presented by LGBTQ+ activist and journalist Paris Lees. No additional information of the documentary has been shared, but it’s likely that we will hear Alexander’s mental health story in reference to his sexuality, as well as some other voices speaking on the effects the gay community can have on your mental health.
