MIST bought out some of the British rap scene's best MCs at KOKO on Monday night.

MIST played to a sold-out KOKO last night. With a queue round the block right up until show-time, the meaning of sold-out certainly took on a new prowess. Spotted walking into the venue were the likes of Stormzy, DJ Maximum and more – and those were just the audience members, proving that this show was more than just a buzz-worthy gig.

As a best-kept secret in UK rap, MIST isn’t often in town, and the waiting audience members were full of energy – creating a moshpit for almost every warm-up tune from Steel Banglez – most notably Solo 45’s “Feed ‘em To The Lions”.

Finally hitting the stage at around 9 pm, MIST played a couple of heated older tracks, getting the crowd chanting every word. He then disappeared (for what seems to be a honey and lemon on his Instagram story!) and treated us to a whole host of special guests including Abra Cadabra, MoStack, WSTRN and Not3s.

After a change of outfit, MIST hit the stage for the second time in a full grey tracksuit and gave the crowd exactly what they had been waiting for. Live renditions of “Karla’s Back”, “Madness”, “Ain’t The Same” and his new heater “Hot Property” set the crowd on fire, with circle-pits causing more than a few crowd members to be thrown around.

An all round high-octane, gripping and powerful performance. Notion can’t wait to see what’s next from this new trail-blazer in UK rap.
