The St Boniface, Winnipeg native’s latest offering is a glorious burst of emotion with a retro VHS karaoke style visual to match. The vid was directed by Boniface’s brother slash band mate Joey Visser, and is the result of Boniface’s obsession with VHS, having been low-key hoarding tapes over the last few years.

Here’s what Visser emailed Notion to say about the “Dear Megan” video:

“It started when I didn’t have Netflix and discovered that they were just 99 cents at the thrift store, but since then I’ve got really attached to them. With this video, Joey and I tried to capture that same simplicity. We drank whisky in a white room and played through the song until it felt like it feels live. I’m so happy with how it turned out, and I hope watching it feels a bit like I do when I watch thrift store VHS tapes.”
