Thomas Jack may just be the man that invented tropical house. Crafting the sound from a mix of deep house, acoustic rock and his love of jam bands, Jack has gone on to shape a whole movement of music in Ibiza and beyond. What started as a joke between friends has become the official term for a sound that conjures luscious beaches, crystal blue sea and green plant life. Perfect for Ibiza then. Speaking of which, you can catch him at Hï Ibiza every Monday night on the island. To get a taste of what he’ll be spinning, he’s graced us with a very special summer playlist.

Millok, New5ense – ‘One Mind (Original Mix)’

“’One Mind’ is such great tune to really get the party started. I like to spin it during my Hï Residency because you can immediately see the change in energy on the dance floor.”

Ninetoes – ‘Bonita’

“Bonita” really embodies the summer vibes out in Barcelona and Ibiza. It’s dynamic and gentle so it creates a completely different atmosphere in the club than some of the heavier tracks I like to play during my set.

Radio Slave – ‘I Don’t Need a Cure for This (Kenny Larkin Remix)’

“This Kenny Larkin remix has this kind of dark and growing baseline I’ve been really into lately. I’m also keen on the cool synth quips throughout it.”

Thomas Jack Vs. The Acid – ‘Basic Instinct’

“I’m a huge fan of The Acid and loved the smooth and dark sound in “Basic Instinct.” The more I kept playing around with it, I was able to put my fresh take on it and really dive deeper into this new sound. I was beyond stoked when they liked it!”

Mat.Joe – ‘Blow Your Mind (Original Mix)’

“Mat.Joe brings it here. I love the wonky bass and the funky synth in this.”

Tiger Stripes – ‘Give You Up (Original Mix)’

“I always liked the sound of this Tiger Stripes track. It has such a great energy to it and picks the crowd right up.”

Thomas Jack Vs. RY X – ‘Shortline’

“RY X is an act that I’ve always been a fan of, and being able to release a rework of “Shortline” was a really special moment for me. These tracks are both part of a new sound I’ve been developing and playing with.

Klangkarussell – ‘Circuits’

“You can’t go wrong with Klangkarussell. They always do it right. This track is right at home in the middle of my sets.”

Haux – ‘Homegrown (Thomas Jack Remix)’

“This was the first remix I put out for 2017, and it’s really where my whole new vibe started. It’s really atmospheric.”

Pete Heller – ‘Big Love (Original Mix)’

“This is definitely a house classic for me. It’s the perfect tune to get everyone in a groove on the dance floor. It just makes you feel good.
