In celebration of both British and US urban talents, Spotify’s in-house Senior Editor, Austin Daboh, turned his popular playlist ‘Who We Be’ into a live event at Alexandra Palace last Thursday. Working with promoters SJM, they flew in US phenomenon Cardi B to perform breakthrough hit ‘Bodak Yellow’, had a surprise performance from viral internet sensation Big Shaq and made London history when Giggs welcomed Sneakbo on stage during his set.

Selling out to a crowd of 10,000, some of the best British artists came under one roof for one of the wickedest parties of 2017. Performers included rapper Dave, Giggs, J Hus, Notion 77 cover star Stefflon Don, Bugzy Malone and Dizzee Rascal. In response to the show, Austin Daboh said, “Spotify is very proud of our work in supporting and nurturing new and exciting urban talent.” He continues, “bringing this amazing line up of artists together for who ‘We Be Live’ has been an opportunity to celebrate the best of rap and grime talent under one roof.”

Take a look at some of the highlights of the night below.
