This Thursday, April 13th, one of the most successful collaborations in the history of streetwear and fashion is back. Comme des Garçons SHIRT rejoins Supreme to achieve what will be an absolute sell-out in its new Spring/Summer 2017 collection.
Fashion partnerships never fail. However, there are few like the empire the two brands have built through the years. Since its first launch in 2012, these capsule collections have been a resounding success both among fashion lovers and among loyal followers of the streetwear brand.
This year, and coming this week, the Japanese and New York-based companies have designed eye-print pieces that include rayon shirts, the always desired box logo T-shirts and hoodies, a three-piece cotton suit, a fishtail parka, and a wallet. It is said that the bogo has been inspired by American conceptual artist Stephen J Shanabrook’s ads and the work of Veronika Georgieva for CDG SHIRT’s 2010 collection.
In its turn, Nike joins both brands with a pair of trainers that will not be released until May 2017, despite being part of the same collaboration. We are talking about the classic Nike Air Force 1 Low, adorned with the same eyeball details and the logo of each of the brands involved.
Dropping Thursday, April 13 at Supreme locations in New York, Los Angeles, London, and Paris, as well as online. Also available at Dover Street Market around the world.
