The Weeknd Teases Us With Sneak Peak Of New Visual Mania

The Weeknd has just announced that he will be starring in new film ‘Mania’, directed by frequent collaborator Grant Singer. The film will take the form of a visual piece to accompany his upcoming LP Starboy. Abel Tesfaye shared the 18-second clip of his latest work, which if you look closely features the same big cat as seen in the Starboy music video.

On Sunday The Weeknd took to the stage at the American Music Awards to perform his Daft Punk produced track ‘Starboy’. The French duo pop up on two tracks of The Weeknd’s latest album, ‘Starboy’ and the closing track of the album ‘I Feel It Coming’. The Weeknd has stated that his latest album has been heavily influenced by the late David Bowie and Prince. The album name even derives from the song ‘Starman’ which features on Bowie’s Ziggy Stardust album. The Starboy album features work from artists including Lana Del Ray, Future, and Kendrick Lamar.
