The video continues the story based around his second album Wrong Crowd, following previous videos for the title track and ‘Magnetised’. This time we find him alone on the stage of the Warner Grand Theatre in L.A, singing to the woman that got away, exclaiming at the end of the chorus, ‘I never should have let you go’. He is no longer hiding away behind the piano, Tom is centre stage, trying to win her back by dancing passionately with the mic like his influences, Elton John and Bruce Springsteen. However, yet again, it all ends in heartbreak.

The song alongside the video shows a different path to that of his previous album and other singles. Tom is backing away from the piano-led, slow melodies of Another Love, to a larger, up-tempo electronic and orchestral sound. Watch below.

Tom has also announced that he is going to release a Christmas EP, ‘Spending All My Christmas With You’. It contains the new single, as well as BBC sessions of an original Christmas track, covers of ‘Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas’ and ‘Silent Night’, and his cover of John Lennon’s ‘Real Love’ which featured on John Lewis’ 2014 Christmas advert.

‘Spending All My Christmas With You’ EP is out December 9th via Columbia Records.
