Of all the festivals to descend on Victoria Park this summer, Mighty Hoopla will probably be the most fun. Yes, Lovebox might have Frank Ocean and Solange and Field Day might have Aphex Twin and his apocalyptic hanger of electronic doom, but Hoopla has a Sink The Pink, Jodie Harsh, R&She and almost every alternative club night the capital has to offer all in one field. Oh yeah, and now they have Years & Years headlining.
Announcing the latest wave of acts this morning, Mighty Hoopla revealed that Olly Alexander and co will be making their only UK festival appearance at this summer’s bash alongside some other instantly recognisable names. S Club 3 (Jo, Bradley & Tina) and Jodie Harsh also join the line-up alongside the already announced Will Young, Sophie Ellis Bextor, Charlotte Church and All Saints for a major dose of childhood nostalgia. Meanwhile, the likes of Raye, Girli and Alma will be holding it down for the new generation, alongside Years & Years of course.
For the full line-up and tickets head to the Mighty Hoopla website and make sure to check out Sink The Pink’s playlist takeover to get yourself in the Mighty Hoopla mood.
